We’ve partnered with a large apartment community in Midtown Manhattan seeking additional support in their Mailroom.
The Temporary Mailroom / Package Room Clerk will be responsible for keeping the package room clean, organized, and operating efficiently. This role manages the intake, logging, sorting, and distribution of packages for residents and various departments.
Compensation: $20–$21 per hour
Schedule: 9am-1pm Mon-Fri & 8am-5pm Saturday Saturday is mandatory.
Manager is flexible with the schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and distribute daily deliveries from UPS and USPS to residents, operations, and management
- Scan packages into the property management system, sort, and properly shelve items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly package room
- Provide the supervisor with a weekly summary of completed daily tasks
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a residential package room preferred
- Self-motivated team player able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills and dependable work ethic
- Comfortable using computers and property management software
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Must be available for alternating weekend shifts as determined by the supervisor
