Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
  • Summary: The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing a level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the production equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • The Facility Maintenance Mechanic must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures
  • General Maintenance of equipment will also be required
  • Performs highly diversified duties to repair machinery, and equipment
  • Maintains machinery and equipment; participants in all phases of maintenance operations
  • Must be able to trouble shoot electrical and pneumatic machinery
  • Complies with and enforces safety rules and regulations and maintenance of good housekeeping practices
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • diagnoses and remedies problems in production equipment; tears down, repairs or replaces worn or defective parts and reassembles
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining equipment supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
  • Repairs or replaces pneumatic and hydraulic valves, oils and greases machine and performs other machining operations
  • Makes and installs machinery
  • Makes repairs to water, steam, air and plumbing lines, Makes installation and repairs requiring carpentry skills
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to codes; alerting others regarding potential concerns
  • Detects and reports faulty operations, defective material and unusual conditions
  • Ability to thread pipe and bend conduit
  • The employee will be required to climb ladders and stairs
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Requirments 

  • 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance work 
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical work
