Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in E-Coating, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Process Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes with a focus on achieving a high tac rate (production efficiency). This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement. Familiarity with Epicor and design tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

E-Coating Process Management: Develop, optimize, and manage E-Coating processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Process Development & Improvement: Lead efforts to design and implement new manufacturing processes. Evaluate and refine existing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and meet production targets.

Lean Manufacturing & 5S Implementation: Drive the adoption of Lean Manufacturing principles and the 5S methodology to improve operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance product quality.

Design & Optimization: Utilize AutoCAD or SolidWorks (preferred) to design and modify production tooling, fixtures, and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities and reduce cycle times.

Tac Rate Achievement: Focus on improving the production tac rate through effective process design, troubleshooting, and continuous monitoring of key performance metrics.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality control, and maintenance to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of process development, improvements, and changes. Provide regular updates and reports to management on process efficiency, production rates, and quality.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical issues within the manufacturing process to ensure timely delivery of products.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on E-Coating, Lean Manufacturing, and process development.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with process design, optimization, and implementation of new manufacturing methods.

Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Epicor or similar ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks (preferred) for designing and optimizing manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an automotive, aerospace, or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of advanced coating technologies and surface treatment methods.
