Pay: $16 – $18/hr

Onboarding:

  • 7 Year Background Check
  • 9 panel drug screen (no THC)
  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
A Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care. This role requires a combination of organizational skills, medical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal communication to assist with both patient interactions and healthcare operations.


Clinical Duties:

  • Prepare patients for medical examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures.
  • Assist physicians or nurses during exams and minor procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine dips and blood glucose checks, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Clean and sterilize medical Chemo instruments and  exam rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and lifestyle changes as directed by the provider.
  • Administer B-12 and Xgeva Injection as directed by Physicians
  • IV Line Placement

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring proper documentation and follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Process insurance authorizations, billing, and coding of medical procedures.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to healthcare providers.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper stocking.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is highly desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (required).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and medical software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
