Hiring for a Medical Assistant for a healthcare clinic in Gainesville, VA
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, must be able to work one late night/week (until 5:30/6pm)
Pay: $20/hr
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification thru an accredited program/school
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of recent clinical medical assistant experience preferred; will also consider recent grads without clinical experience
- Medical administrative/front desk experience OR open to being cross-trained
- Must be comfortable performing clinical and administrative duties
- Experience working in internal medicine or family medicine a plus but not required
- EMR experience
- Experience working with E-Clinical Works a plus
- Experience administering immunizations a plus
- Strong technical computer skills – able to document information from calls
- Must be comfortable speaking to patients over the phone

Updated note from manager: - Busy 4 provider internal medicine and pediatrics practice;
- MAs triage patients, recording vitals and performing screening tests, administering immunizations and other injections, performing EKGs, assisting physician with any other patient care
- Communicate with patients and other medical offices via phone and web, manipulate all types of data within the EMR system (eClnical Works), work as a team member with other clinical staff
