Pay: $20-22/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM – 5:30PM
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Billing & Coding training from accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience as Medical Billing Specialist in Pain Management setting is required
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Knowledge of researching codes and scrubbing claims for errors
- Knowledge of electronic billing system required (practice uses eClinicalWorks)
- Working knowledge of pain management coding/billing/posting/clean-up of aging reports required
- Experience filing claims and appeals with insurance companies to maximize entitled payments
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Submit coded claims to insurance carriers on a daily basis
- Post charges to patient’s charts to ensure proper and accurate record keeping
- Read and interpret EOBs and take necessary action required
- Correct and resubmit claims with errors in a timely manner
- Interact regularly with insurance carriers to resolve rejected and denied claims issues
- Resolve patient’s billing issues and appropriately communicate resolution to patients as well as send monthly statements
- Answer the Billing Line for the Practice
- Ability to work through aging report
- Perform other relevant billing related duties as assigned by Manager
