Medical Receptionist – Pediatrics office

Location: Dover, NH
Schedule: 

  • 8am – 5:30pm
  • Monday to Friday, full time 

Pay: $20 – $23 DOE

Position Summary:
This position will require some flexibility with scheduling on workdays during the week. Potential need for weekends in the future. 
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, the ability to work as part of a medical team, along with a commitment to quality patient centered care.

Job Qualifications/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Looking for polished candidates with decorum and ability to work well in pediatric environment 
  • Seeking responsive, dependable candidates that are engaged and energetic!
  • Targeting candidates with ~1-2 years recent medical office experience or medical call center
  • Will not accept candidates with “jumpy” resumes – would like each role to be at least 2 years 
  • Greets patients, initiates and completes check-in process
  • Verifies and or collects patient demographic information.
  • Maintain communication with clinical staff for optimum patient flow
  • Ability to schedule appointments
  • Informs patient of outstanding patient balance information as indicated by billing department, and accepts payment for outstanding balances
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients
  • Answer incoming calls and route as necessary 
  • Initiates and completes check-in and check-out process.
  • EMR System is PCC – easy to learn.
    • Prior EMR experience of any kind required
  • Verifies and or collects patient demographic information.
  • Maintains communication with clinical staff for optimum patient flow.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Answer incoming calls and deal with inquires.
  • Ability to schedule patient appointments.
  • Ability to transfers calls as required.
  • Ability to collect copayments and accepts payment for outstanding balances.
  • Informs patient of outstanding patient balance information as indicated by billing department.
  • Maintain stock of forms and office supplies.
  • Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
