Mixed Use Portfolio Manager

We have partnered with a family owned Property Management company out of Newark who is looking to hire 2 Managers for a mixed-use portfolio covering the general area.

The portfolio is roughly 35 buildings consisting of roughly 300 residential and commercial tenants.

Pay: $60K – $70K with a full benefits package

The company is looking for a seasoned manager who can oversee tenant relations, maintenance, and monthly financials.

Managers should have an independent, entrepreneurial spirit – you will be given a general schedule and be responsible for the portfolio to meet or exceed company standards.

MUST HAVE GOOD EXPERIENCE USING YARDI SOFTWARE 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for mixed-use and value-add assets, ensuring efficient property performance and tenant satisfaction

  • Provide strong leadership and direct supervision to on-site staff; foster a positive, accountable team environment

  • Maintain 24/7 availability for emergency response within assigned portfolio

  • Manage maintenance operations, including work orders, preventative maintenance programs, and vendor coordination

  • Build and maintain excellent tenant relationships through proactive communication and creative problem-solving

  • Effectively multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Support and implement marketing initiatives and tenant retention strategies

  • Oversee rent collection processes and ensure timely revenue management

  • Assist in annual budget preparation and closely monitor monthly expenses to ensure alignment with budget goals

  • Review financial reports, identify variances, and address discrepancies prior to invoice approval

  • Conduct routine property inspections and ensure timely follow-up on maintenance and compliance matters

  • Prepare regular portfolio reports and communicate property performance to the Director of Property Management

  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, brokers, and industry professionals

  • Represent the company in legal proceedings when required

  • Review and approve invoices using appropriate GL coding

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word

  • Bilingual skills are a plus
