Operations Business Analyst

Responsibilities: Manages and coordinates Javelina claims system upgrade implementations
• Tracks database schema and functionality changes.
• Tracks and manages tickets across minor releases.
• Performs smoke and regression testing for operational departments. Generalist for a range of business processes
• Clarifies and synthesizes business requirements on new software development requests.
• Reviews and contributes to the learning management system of introductory courses for all departments.
• Conducts regular review with other departments (claims, implementation team) to deliver customer satisfaction.
Technical writing • Documents infrequent tasks, with the goal of moving responsibility for completing the tasks out of the DevOps team to operational teams.
• Blue Cross Blue Shield reporting.
• Medicare CMS 111 reporting.
• Tracking of tickets with PlanConnexion.

Cross-department functions
o Data (Blue Exchange) feeds and operations.
o Orchestration engine dashboard monitoring.
o External contacts (members, providers, brokers) document management.

Configuration and implementation tasks
• Group collaboration fee (ITS Consortium) management.
• Prescription benefit manager invoicing.

Qualifications:
• Project management on small teams.
• Technical writing / training document editing.
• Specifications collection / interpretation for complex business processes.
• Software development documentation.
• Employee benefits, particularly medical, administration.

Desirable Experience/ Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related fields.
• Use of Blue Cross Blue Shield systems.
• Subject matter expert on health care claim software.
