PT X-Ray Tech – Urgent Care

Seeking a certified X-Ray Tech for a busy pediatric Urgent Care. This position will be hybrid: X-ray Tech + Medical Assistant as needed in order to keep the flow of the office.
*per diem for Saturday, Sunday, Monday needs
Location: Northborough, MA
Pay: $34 – $37/hr temp
Schedule: Part time – 12 hr shift Saturdays only 8a-8p but will need to commit to the training schedule below
- One hour paid lunch (1pm – 2pm)

Requirements:
- Pediatrics experience highly preferred but not required
- Urgent Care/Outpatient experience required
- MA X-Ray Technician certification required
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Phlebotomy/immunization experience preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
- BLS/CPR required
Job duties:
- Monitoring radiology supplies
- Ensuring that the x-ray machines are set at the correct radiation levels
- Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
- Limiting patients’ exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
- Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
- Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
- Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
- Triage and providing appropriate clinical advice
- Patient education and obtaining accurate health records, updating EMR
- Clean and prepare exam rooms
- Rooming patients and
- Help make patients and their families feel comfortable and at ease
- EMR System is IMS – any EMR experience is preferred
- Assisting the Providers with Medical Assistant duties as needed including but not limited to:
- Rooming patients and collecting medical history
- Vitals, height weight, BP, etc.
- Swabs and other in house lab tests
- labeling and storing collected specimens
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable and dependable candidate
- Prior experience in urgent care/other medical office required
- Experience in pediatrics preferred, not required
- Previous EMR experience highly preferred
- Will train on IMS
- Medical terminology required
