Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional. This position will report to the Payroll Manager. The ideal Payroll Specialist is motivated, proactive, and customer service oriented and is looking for an exciting opportunity. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a must and UKG Workforce Ready is a plus.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process payroll on a weekly and bi-weekly basis according to established deadlines for 1,000+ employees.
  • Process wage increases and calculate retro pay as needed.
  • Update wages and PTO rules per Union CBA’s.
  • Calculate and process PTO payouts as needed.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports as required for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in benefit-related payroll projects, withholdings, and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing accounting reports.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Audit employee Payroll data.
  • Understanding of Accruals, system maintenance and policies.

 
Qualifications include but are not limited to: 

  • Experience working with ADP Workforce now is required.
  • Experience working with UKG Workforce Ready is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data.
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-company environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Administrative office or payroll experience.
  • Understanding and Experience with Union CBA’s.
  • Proficient in Excel.
