Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP, APRN) – Outpatient Primary Care
Location: Hartford, CT area
Salary: $104,312 – $167,772.80 (based on experience)
 


Clinic Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Closed daily for lunch from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM


A well-established outpatient health center is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP, APRN) to join their primary care team. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of experience in a pediatric setting, but recent graduates encouraged to apply. 

This is a collaborative, team-based practice with physician support and a strong emphasis on high-quality, patient-centered care for children and adolescents. The department is led by a seasoned Clinical Director with a strong academic background, and employee satisfaction scores consistently exceed national benchmarks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver full-scope primary care to pediatric patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic services

  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members

  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record

  • Coordinate care with internal departments and external providers

  • Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population

  • Comply with organizational protocols and clinical quality measures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus in pediatrics

  • Licensed (or eligible) as an APRN in the state of Connecticut

  • Eligible for DEA and CT controlled substance registration

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities

  • Comfortable working in a team-based, fast-paced outpatient environment

  • Familiarity with EHR systems and standard documentation practices
