Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri
Location: Split between outpatient clinic and OR settings (NYC & Westchester)

We’re working with a prominent orthopedic surgery team seeking a Physician Assistant to join their joint reconstruction practice. This is a full-time position offering a mix of clinic and operating room exposure. The PA will support a high-volume surgeon focused on hip and knee procedures and work closely with a collaborative clinical team.
Position Highlights

Opportunity to participate in teaching content creation (e.g. surgical videos)
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct and document patient histories and physical exams
-
Coordinate and update treatment plans in collaboration with the surgeon

Review diagnostic imaging and labs; communicate findings
-
Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
-
Perform therapeutic injections and minor procedures
-
Handle patient phone triage, prescription requests, and care coordination

Assist in surgery, including positioning, instrumentation, and workflow support

Maintain surgical logs and assist with insurance/disability documentation

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents and fellows

Support occasional rounding and cross-coverage with other teams

Participate in system training (e.g. EPIC) and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
-
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Active NY PA license
-
BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
-
Experience in orthopedic surgery or surgical specialties

Master’s degree

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
