Quality Assurance Manager

Position: Quality Assurance Manager 
Salary: Up to $120k (depending on experience) 
Location: Syracuse, NY (fully on-site) 
Requirements: 

  • 5+ years in a quality management role REQUIRED 
  • Experience leading and running the full audit REQUIRED 
  • Electronic manufacturing industry REQUIRED
  • Experience being compliant with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 REQUIRED 

Responsibilities:
· Develops implements, communicates, and maintains a quality plan and leads the development and tracking of key performance metrics.
· Tracking and reporting on Quality KPIs including, but not limited to, nonconforming material management, customer returns and production first-pass-yield.
· Effectively interacts with Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
· Supports process improvement with emphasis on reducing process variation, improving product consistency, improving productivity, and reducing production costs.
· Advancing in-process inspections to identify quality errors earlier in the production process.
· Driving disposition of non-conforming material in an expeditious and efficient process.
· Lead teams in Root Cause Analysis as well as process documentation via creating and updating work instructions and batch records.
· Develops implements and communicates a quality plan to maintain and continuously improve the QMS.
· Effectively interacts with Operations and Development teams to maintain product supply and introduce new products.
· Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
· Serves as Management Representative and maintains certification to ISO9001:2015/ISO14001:2015 standards.
· Ensures tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
· Provides supervision to quality staff in carrying daily duties.
· Brings together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
· Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
· Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to QA/QC.
· Assessing process capability relative to the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and comparing with customer requirements.
· Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
· Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
· Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Responsibilities (Continued):
· Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
· Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters.
· Conduct audits, creating audits and finding reports to determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
· Develop and maintain systems for the collection of process data. Identify sources of variations as well as conduct root cause analysis for major product defects. Implement corrective actions to improve product yields.
· Provide process input on required capital upgrades to improve process capability.
