We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for all customer, supplier, internal, and external audits.  This position will be in charge of all procedure and documentation system maintenance. Participate in development activities to proactively improve product, processes and prevent NCP (Nonconforming Product). This position is also the AS9100 Rev D Management Representative Hosting Certification Body Audits and supporting Customer Audits.
This is a full-time exempt position that will report directly to the General Manager and works hand in hand with the Director of Quality.

Position Summary

  • Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Document quality assurance activities and create reports.
  • Support the use of statistics, metrics for product improvement and process control.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Provide data and Pareto analysis of problem parts and processes.
  • Ensure that QMS standards are followed.
  • Engage and Champion Continuous Improvement Projects and activities throughout the facility.
  • Support Safety Committee

Required Skills/Education/Experience

  • Associates/ Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent QMS process preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts.
  • Certain technical skills and training, such as; quality tools and techniques, ability to read and understand engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), problem solving skills (8D), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are desired.
  • Working knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Engineer.
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred.
