About the Role
A growing aerospace manufacturer in Chester, CT is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing, inspection, and supplier quality initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong MRB experience who enjoys problem-solving and driving continuous improvement in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead MRB activities, including outside vendor MRB reviews and rework part assessments.

Support and maintain routers and assist with approved supplier list management.

Develop and analyze statistical data, product, and process performance to recommend improvements.

Provide advanced quality planning support for new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Create and maintain Quality Plans, Inspection Plans, Control Plans, FAIRs, PFMEA, and SPC strategies.

Audit inspection/test plans, standards, and work instructions to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Investigate and resolve quality issues through RCCA and data-driven problem-solving.

Drive a “Zero Defects / Right First Time” culture and support OPEX and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
Qualifications

Previous MRB experience required (including outside vendor MRB).

Hands-on experience with rework parts and routers.

Background in supplier quality, inspection, and manufacturing processes.

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Attention to detail in interpreting and executing customer requirements.

Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing strongly preferred.
