JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
EDUCATION High School diploma or GED.
TRAINING (When Hired) Employee Orientation
Annual Safety Training
Annual Quality Procedures Training
Relevant Job Specific Skill Training
Training as mandated by State of Connecticut
 
SKILLS Shop Math, use of precision measurement instruments
Ability to use CMM equipment and manual gauges
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Ability to lead and Supervise a team.
 
EXPERIENCE Three-five years of inspection experience
One-three years of supervisory experience
 
   

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Work under the direction of the Quality Manager.
 

  • Supervise the planning and performance of the Visual and Dimensional inspection team including a variety of incoming and final audit inspections, keep records, check and test, following standard and recognized procedures.

 

  • Duties involve supervising inspector’s use of a variety of gauges and precision measuring instruments. Verify use of inspection equipment and check calibration to assure that expiration date of calibration has not been exceeded.

 

  • Duties involve supervising inspectors use and interpretation of complex blueprints and specifications together with the ability to perform relevant calculations and layouts.

 

  • Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials and unusual matters to proper supervision.  Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.  Follow prescribed and standard safety regulations.

 

  • Training or delegating for inspectors and ensuring proper documentation of training is kept.

 

  • Other duties as assigned by supervision
