Title: Registered Nurse (Adult medicine)
Location: Dorchester, MA
Schedule: 40 HPW (1-2 evenings weekly until 9pm)
Assignment: 3-6month assignment starting ASAP
Pay: $50/hr
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Experience:
- Primary care experience (Required)
- Minimum of one-year Ambulatory Care experience
- 2 years’ experience in adult or medical/surgical setting (Preferred)
- Bilingual Candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Certification/Licensure:
- Valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs the practice of medical assistants and LPNs.
- Demonstrates ability to work as a team member; participates in orienting peers.
- Reviews and communicates test results per protocol.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Performs patient triage.
- Provides patient education.
- Administers medication, immunizations and treatments as ordered.
- Performs charge nurse responsibilities.
- Assists with management of urgent and emergent patient care situations.
- Assists with or performs procedures.
- Manages communication from internal and external sources.
- Attends nursing and organizational meetings and participates in QI initiatives.
- Provides safe, ethical, evidence based and culturally competent care.
- Floats to other nursing departments as need arises.
