Hiring for an RN – Pediatric Program Coordinator – in Methuen, MA
Schedule: 40HPW; Monday through Friday day shift
Pay: $40-43/hr based on experience
Position Summary:
The Pediatric RN Program Coordinator (Coordinator) works under the supervision of the Director of Population Health and in collaboration with the AVP of Quality and Clinical Integration to provide day-to-day program management oversight of the DPH and TMPEC pediatric program. The Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to implement and sustain early childhood integrated care transformation activities aligned with the TMPEC (Transforming Massachusetts Pediatrics for Early Childhood) grant. In this role, the Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the primary care clinicians, pediatricians, and developmental specialists to ensure that children in need of early intervention programs and other supportive social services can access these services timely. The coordinator works with the Pediatric Community Health Worker and Family Partner to ensure families and caregivers are provided with resources, guidance, and support, helping them navigate their child’s journey. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring program metrics are managed, and performance meets established targets. In addition, they are responsible for a combination of administrative, educational, and clinical support functions.
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards:
- Assists with documenting progress reports, including maintaining documentation for TMPEC grant reporting, including core metrics, qualitative updates, and budget-related forms.
- Oversees the coordination of patient care, including but not limited to facilitating communication between different healthcare professionals and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Overseeing program operations, including ensuring standard and efficient workflows and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to program performance and outcomes.
- Collaborates with the clinical educator to design population-based clinical competencies for nursing and MA staff.
- Collaborates with clinical leadership to ensure the program meets accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison between the TMPEC project team and stakeholders to coordinate educational sessions with TMPEC Learning Collaborative events.
- Provides administrative support, including scheduling and managing project team meetings, prepares agendas, materials, and minutes for meetings related to early childhood transformation activities.
- Tracks project deliverables and assists in maintaining a shared calendar and reporting deadlines for grant-related activities.
- Independently composes and edits correspondence, reports, summaries, and presentations for review by the project lead.
- Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes early childhood program and QI data from internal and external sources for reporting and planning.
- Supervisory responsibilities for Family Partner and Pediatric CHW. Supports recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling for the team member with lived experience (e.g., Family Partner) and helps manage workflows integrating this role into the care team.
- Supports the interdisciplinary care team’s efforts to engage families in QI activities, family advisory committee recruitment, and feedback processes.
- Collaborates with the Director of Population Health and the AVP of Quality and Clinical Integration to supports ongoing quality improvement and capacity building efforts aligned with the TMPEC learning collaborative.
- Performs all additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered nurse with pediatrics experience, including 3-5 years of administrative program management experience in healthcare.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively with team members and families.
- Experience working with patients with chronic medical and behavioral health needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and shared drives).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects and supporting QI or grant activities preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
- Must demonstrate the basics of cultural competence when dealing with a diverse population.
