Registered Nurse – Outpatient Neurosurgery 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full time 

Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 based on experience

Overview

A leading outpatient neurosurgery practice is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The RN will play a key role in supporting physicians, coordinating patient care, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment supporting complex neurological cases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with patient care, education, and clinical procedures.

  • Collect and document patient health information in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Coordinate care across the continuum (inpatient, outpatient, home, etc.), including medication management and prior authorizations.

  • Administer medications and immunizations as directed.

  • Provide triage (phone, in-person, and electronic) for symptom management and patient questions.

  • Manage urgent and emergent patient situations in collaboration with the care team.

  • Arrange diagnostic testing and review results as appropriate.

  • Maintain infection control compliance and support continuous quality improvement efforts.

  • Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans and follow-up.

  • Serve as a resource and preceptor for new clinical staff as needed.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education/experience.

  • Current RN license (state-specific).

  • BLS certification required.

  • 0–4 years of nursing experience; outpatient or neurosurgery experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
