Registered Nurse – Neuro-Oncology

Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse supports a specialized neurological surgery service with a focus on neuro-oncology and functional neurosurgery. This role works closely with neurosurgeons and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care across the continuum, provide clinical support, and deliver patient-centered education and triage.
Key Responsibilities

Assess patients and document clinical information in the electronic medical record

Coordinate care plans across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute settings

Support medication management, including renewals and prior authorizations

Perform nursing interventions in collaboration with the care team

Provide symptom triage via phone, patient portal, and in person

Assist with urgent and emergent patient situations as needed

Coordinate diagnostic testing and review results

Support infection control and quality standards

Deliver patient and family education

Assist with clinic operations and multidisciplinary coordination

Precept and support junior clinical staff as needed

Float to other clinics based on operational needs
Minimum Qualifications

Associates Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience

Relevant nursing experience preferred

Active Registered Nurse license in New York State
