Location: New York, NY (on-site)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000

Overview
A leading academic medical center is seeking an experienced and self-motivated RN to join its dermatology team. This role supports patient care across two outpatient practice sites and four divisions, including a hospital-affiliated teaching clinic. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical coordination skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess hands-on Photopheresis (ECP) experience.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Active RN license in New York State

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant nursing experience

  • BLS certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent experience preferred

  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Allscripts preferred), Microsoft Office

  • Photopheresis (ECP) experience is required


Position Summary
The RN will provide advanced clinical support to physicians and patients, coordinate care across multiple divisions, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered services. Responsibilities include patient triage, medication and immunization administration, coordination of diagnostic testing, EMR documentation, patient education, and clinical leadership tasks such as training and protocol development.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in delivering and coordinating patient care

  • Conduct patient assessments and input health data into the EMR

  • Manage medication renewals and prior authorizations

  • Administer medications and immunizations

  • Provide triage via phone, patient portal, and in person

  • Assist in managing urgent or emergent patient situations

  • Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services as ordered

  • Participate in departmental health initiatives and quality improvement efforts

  • Support phototherapy, wound care, and minor dermatologic procedures

  • May travel between clinical sites and train other nursing staff

  • Maintain infection control standards and assist in clinical supply oversight
