Registered Nurse
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to support Uro-Oncology providers with overlap in general urology. This role involves patient care, health education, EMR chart management, coordination of patient care, and execution of clinical protocols. This is an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:

Assess and collect data related to patient health status, including urological assessments such as bladder scans and wound evaluations, and accurately document in EMR.

Collaborate with the care team to develop and coordinate patient care plans across inpatient, outpatient, home, and skilled nursing settings.

Assist with medication management, including renewals, prior authorizations, and administration of immunizations and urology-specific medications.

Execute nursing interventions such as catheter insertions/removals, wound care, and patient preparation for procedures.

Provide patient-centered care including symptom triage, education on urological conditions, and support for urgent/emergent situations.

Coordinate diagnostic tests and procedures, including labs, imaging, cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and other office-based procedures.

Review and communicate test results to physicians and patients.

Ensure infection control compliance and patient satisfaction.

May float to other clinics as needed and precept new clinical staff, including Medical Assistants, LPNs, and junior nurses.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS RN license upon hire

BLS Certification

Urology or surgical nursing experience preferred

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Intermediate to advanced MS Office and EMR skills
