Sales Assistant
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Location: Marlborough, Ma
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior management to generate and manage sales relationships for B2B accounts.
- Identify, initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with new prospective clients.
- Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
- Conduct extensive research and create new opportunities to expand business.
- Make phone calls (price and delivery) for inside sales staff and cross-reference customer part numbers.
- Participate in sales meetings by creating weekly selling reports identifying best and worst sellers for accounts and analyzing trends.
- Type formal quotes, enter and confirm orders, and handle paperwork for problem orders or changes.
- Maintain Breadman accounts, mail line cards, catalogs, and samples.
- Maintain sales tools (order tear sheets, catalogs, finish samples, etc.) on the sales floor and reorder when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Qualifications:
- Competent in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.
- Willing to learn internal programs and systems to the level of fluency.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- One year or more of related experience.
Pay: $20/hr
