Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in real estate, healthcare, and pro services, with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial acumen.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
-Prepare federal and state tax returns and perform tax planning for a closely held middle market client base, include indivual, multi-state corporations, parternship, and fidcuiary returns
– Analyze business operations, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses
– Support auditors’ preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements
– Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
– Offer guidance on financial decisions by applying knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
– Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks
– Knowledge of city, state, and federal contracts is a plus
– Experience in accounts receivable and double-entry bookkeeping
– Strong understanding of debits and credits
– Previous experience as an accounting clerk or in a related role is advantageous
