The Accounting & Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves managing general ledger accounting, monthly financial closings, and deductions oversight. The individual will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to support management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage expertise in accounting to support daily functions and activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist with month-end closing by preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and compiling supporting documentation to facilitate the process.
- Analyze indirect trade spend on a weekly basis and present insights to cross-functional teams.
- Track and resolve outstanding issues to validate deductions and ensure timely payback.
- Manage invalid indirect deductions by monitoring data and working with customer portals to recover funds.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve trade-related disputes and settle invalid deductions.
- Lead or assist in ad-hoc projects aimed at streamlining and improving accounting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (preferred).
- Strong character and integrity, with a commitment to excellence.
- Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail.
