Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements: Manage the audit process from planning to completion, including risk assessment, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff: Train and supervise junior auditors, review their work for accuracy and compliance, and provide guidance for their professional development.
- Perform detailed testing: Examine financial statements, transactions, and internal controls to ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
- Ensure compliance: Verify compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements: Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Develop audit plans: Create and tailor audit programs based on an understanding of client operations and risk profiles.
- Communicate findings: Effectively communicate audit findings, internal control recommendations, and engagement status to managers, partners, and clients.
- Maintain client relationships: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, demonstrating excellent client service and acting as a trusted advisor.
