SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
LOCATION: MANCHESTER CT
COMPENSATION 100K-115K (Dependent on experience level)

Summary: Responsible for engineering and development of new products, focusing on ensuring that the manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
Reporting to:
Engineering Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and design process development/improvements and tools.
- Act as the prime interface into the Product Development process, ensuring that the requirements of the facility (e.g. processes, equipment, and software) are delivered.
- Coordinate the changeover of tools/processes from design to production.
- Analyze problems, account for variances, drive to root cause and implement improvement methods and procedures.
- Document standard work.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers on the development of new products.
- Develop fixtures, gages and tooling.
- Analyze problems, account for variances, drive to root cause and implement improvement methods and procedures; create, review, and update improvement plans.
- Mentor, coach, and train junior team members.

Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to read blueprints.
Working experience with CAD systems.
Familiarity with root cause and corrective action.
Familiarity with metrology.
Familiarity with SPC.
Working experience with Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Knowledge of Lean principles and practice.
