TITLE: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
COMPENSATION: $105,000 – $120,000
LOCATION: Bolton, CT
Note: Candidates with both mechanical and manufacturing engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process optimization and production efficiency initiatives within an electronic component manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on technical role focused on process development, improving throughput, enhancing product quality, and ensuring manufacturing cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Innovating in wire-wound electrical component manufacturing and build-to-print process development

Leading lean manufacturing initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and profitability

Optimizing work-cell layouts to enhance performance, safety, and ergonomics

Developing and implementing assembly procedures aligned with industry standards

Driving new process development and recommending capital investments to support growth
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience working in AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality-managed manufacturing environments

Understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T

Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training

Strong mechanical aptitude, including equipment setup and maintenance

Experience with electrical testing of components and assemblies

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and inspection methods

Proficiency in solid modeling software (Inventor, SolidWorks, NX, Catia) and ERP systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners

High self-motivation, strong organization, and effective prioritization skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office—Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Basic project scheduling experience with scheduling tools

Ability to adapt to changing customer and production requirements

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR
Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar)

Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years with related products/processes

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Work Environment
This role includes both office work and hands-on shop floor involvement. You will work with office software and tools as well as manufacturing, machining, electrical test, and inspection equipment. Occasional travel between nearby facilities (within 1 mile) may be required.
