Shipping & Receiving Coordinator Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/HR Shipping & Receiving Coordinator   Summary: Responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day shipping department and preparing items for shipment.  Duties/Responsibilities: Prepares items for shipment according to shipping orders. Compares identifying information such as count, weight or description of outgoing shipments against shipping orders or other records. Assembles shipping containers and inserts items into containers using appropriate filler.  Stamps, stencils, or marks identifying information and shipping instructions onto containers. Posts weights, shipping charges and affixes postage. Routes items and stock to appropriate destination as requested. Maintains shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner. Receives and records all incoming inventory distribution items and check-in items.  Reports any discrepancies to management. Performs part marking on all parts prior to shipments. Maintains area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Maintains and inventories all shipping materials. Access customer portals to retrieve shipping info to create ASN. Follow, Update, and maintain packaging and shipping work instructions. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Skills Requirements: Shipping and Receiving experience preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent Organizational skills Time Management skills Basic Computer Skills Math Aptitude Ability to pay attention to details. Oral and Written Communication Skills Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees and customers. Ability to Work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Customer Service Oriented and Professional demeanor. Must have or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to become certified to use a Forklift. Must be able to effectively work well with all cross functions of the company. Working Conditions: Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts. Physical Requirements: Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. Ability to move around shop and stand for 70% of the workday. Frequently lift, carry, or move and position objects weighing up to 55 lbs. Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time #toponehire
