Site Nurse Manager
Location: Lawrence MA
Salary: $100 – $110K  

Position Summary:
Demonstrates good clinical knowledge and judgment and has the ability to take charge of the unit as assigned. Responsible for training, monitoring, and evaluation of all nursing staff in their delivery of patient care, and assures all clinicians are fully supported for patient care. Works collaboratively with, Site Operations Director, Director of Nursing, medical staff and other departments to ensure that the goals of the Health Center Mission Statement are accomplished.

Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. (Required)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) (Preferred)

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing institute.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or actively pursuing.
  • Current MA RN license.
  • Maintains current BLS certification.

Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards:

  • Assesses the nursing staff’s ability to make sound decisions based on tools available and good nursing judgment as well as their ability to document their findings and advice in the patient’s medical record.
  • Has excellent assessment skills and is able to train nursing in triaging walk-in patients.
  • Recognizes, assesses and takes immediate action in acute and crisis situations, both patient and environmental.
  • Assesses the staff nurses’ ability to safely administer and accurately documents immunizations and medications.
  • Is knowledgeable about Health Center policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in role as nursing supervisor. Serves as role model for nursing staff.
  • Has the capacity to handle patient concerns/complaints with courtesy.
  • Works collaboratively with the Vaccine Manager/Coordinator and staff nurses to review and sign Standard Operating Procedure for Vaccine Management yearly.
  • Collaborates with site operations manager on interviewing and hiring of personnel.
  • Oversees the ordering of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Performs all and any additional duties as assigned.
