Senior Business Development Coordinator
Salary: $72,000-$94,000 + discretionary bonus (non-exempt)
Location: Washington, DC

Job Summary
An international law firm with offices across the US, Europe, MENA, and Asia seeks a Senior Business Development Coordinator to support assigned practice groups with business development initiatives. This role works closely with the Business Development Director and various teams, including Marketing, Communications, and Client Development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on strategic plans to drive business development.
  • Draft responses to pitches and proposals.
  • Submit ranking applications (e.g., Chambers, Law360).
  • Assist in developing group website content and marketing collateral.
  • Contribute ideas for brand awareness, including organizing events, articles, and media opportunities.
  • Plan and execute client development events (seminars, webinars).
  • Support attorneys with client alerts, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters.
  • Conduct research to inform business development strategies.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, and track follow-up actions.
  • Manage group intranet site and relevant business development information.
  • Maintain and enter data into knowledge management systems and CRM.
  • Assist with lateral integration and business development budget tracking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of legal and business environments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Sound judgment handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Understanding of basic budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Ability to learn and use new software tools.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (equivalent training/experience can substitute).
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in business development.
