Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process, managing revenue and fixed assets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and locations. Ideal candidates will have a background in public accounting (audit) or media/entertainment finance, and experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for assigned entities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including capitalizations, depreciation, and disposals
- Assist with multi-entity and intercompany accounting, including eliminations and consolidations
- Manage and reconcile revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 or relevant standards
- Support audit preparation, including financial statement and PBC schedules
- Collaborate with FP&A, tax, and operations to ensure accurate financial data and cross-functional alignment
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct, including workflows, dimensions, and reporting
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives in a scaling environment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting background (audit) OR experience in the media, digital content, or entertainment industries
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct or other mid-market ERP systems
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition and fixed assets
- Experience in multi-entity/multi-location accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Preferred
- CPA or CPA-eligible
- Experience working with media production, royalties, or digital revenue streams
- Familiarity with workflow automation, integrations, or reporting tools
