Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong SEC reporting experience and a solid background in accounting principles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to critical reporting and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Support external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses during month-end close.
- Assist with internal and external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various accounting and finance initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to process improvements.
- Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – Required
- 3–6+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on SEC reporting – Required
- Experience in Manufacturing or public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) with SEC reporting clients – highly valued
- CPA designation – Highly preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Background:
- Candidates coming directly from public accounting with hands-on SEC reporting experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a corporate accounting or financial reporting function within a publicly traded company is a plus.
