Job Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities for a dynamic, publicly traded national manufacturing company and its subsidiaries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Executes general accounting tasks and supports financial operations for the organization.

Prepares monthly financial statements, reports, and schedules.

Reconciles balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.

Records monthly journal entries.

Manages intercompany transactions, posts journal entries, and balances intercompany accounts.

Performs daily bank account reconciliations.

Reviews accounts receivable and conducts collection activities.

Assists external auditors by compiling necessary account details and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual audits.

Participates in quarterly inventory processes alongside production teams.

Adheres to US GAAP accounting standards and practices.

Cross-trains with accounts payable to serve as a competent backup.

Undertakes additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational abilities and comfort working in a paperless environment.

Proficiency in Revenue Recognition

Solid understanding of cost accounting.

Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and ability to comply with its standards.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
