About the Role
As a Healthcare Subrogation Specialist, you’ll be responsible for investigating and recovering funds from third-party liability cases involving accidents, injuries, or illnesses. You’ll work closely with attorneys, adjusters, and insurance professionals to confirm liability, negotiate settlements, and manage a portfolio of recovery cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
-  Manage a diverse caseload of subrogation claims from initiation through resolution 
-  Review, analyze, and document case details to confirm third-party liability 
-  Prepare and maintain case files, correspondence, liens, and claims documentation 
-  Communicate effectively with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other stakeholders 
-  Negotiate settlements and process claim disputes within company guidelines 
-  Conduct ongoing follow-up on case statuses and payment timelines 
-  Generate periodic reports and recovery projections for management 
-  Ensure all documentation complies with security and privacy standards (PHI/HIPAA) 
What You’ll Bring
-  High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 
-  5+ years of experience in subrogation, insurance claims, or a legal/paralegal setting preferred 
-  Knowledge of healthcare, casualty, or property insurance 
-  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong general computer skills 
-  Ability to interpret EOBs, UB-04s, SPDs, and similar healthcare documents 
-  Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills 
-  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
-  Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume caseloads 
-  Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently 
Compensation & Benefits
-  Base salary: $60,000–$75,000 (based on experience)
