Cafeteria hiring for food service associate
TEMPORARY – ONE MONTH
Hours: M-F 5:30am – 1:30pm
Food safety and prep experience strongly preferred!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check daily for functions and set up the food and drinks by preparing salads, sandwiches, coffee, breakfast/lunch, dessert, depending on what is requested/needed
- Maintain the coffee area by refilling coffee, complete stocking of various items, and ensure cleanliness in the area
- Assist with food preparation for sandwich/salad bar items
- Assist with replenishing any food items that are needed during the lunch periods.
- Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness in the area
- Available to assist in any other food preparation areas
- Provide backup for residential food and supply orders (delivery, inventory, and stocking)
- Ensure all required training courses are up to date and have successful completion of each
- Help with sandwich making during the lunch periods, if needed
- Pick up special orders from the store for special functions and delivery, when needed
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in food and service industry preferred
- Ability to carry out both written and verbal instructions
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
