Position Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Paralegal to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Massachusetts workers’ compensation law and will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with all phases of case management and litigation. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provides direct support to attorneys in the defense of workers’ compensation claims throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Prepares and files legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, hearing statements, and settlement documents.

Maintains and organizes both electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court deadlines.

Reviews, summarizes, and analyzes medical records and other discovery materials.

Communicates professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance carriers.

Tracks deadlines and hearing dates; ensures timely filing.

Assists with trial preparation.

Conducts factual research and prepares case chronologies as requested by attorneys.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal in workers’ compensation defense.
